Non-fiction / History

We’ve just finished this gem. It’s snarky, sarky, and full of wit. It doesn’t go into a huge amount of detail for each monarch (that would require several books all in itself) but gives a general overview of…
…their lives and how things panned out for them in a humorous, entertaining way while still being interesting in of itself. Curiously self critical at times and more than once there’s a “we just don’t know what happened” moment which is refreshing.
History books can feel a little dense to get through sometimes so it was quite enjoyable to have something that felt light to read.
